Mike S. Torres

Mike S. Torres, age 68, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, at his home in San Angelo, Texas, surrounded by his cherished family.

Born on April 7, 1957, in San Angelo, Texas, Mike was the son of Domingo and Anita Torrez. He graduated from Lakeview High School and subsequently enrolled at Angelo State University, where he earned his Associate and Bachelor of Science degrees in Nursing. Throughout his nursing career, he worked in various departments, including a medical unit, the emergency department, and as a Nursing Supervisor. His dedication, kindness, and expertise made a significant impact on the lives of patients, their families, and his coworkers.

Honoring his commitment to service, Mike served in the Army Reserve from 1985 to 2001.

Family was Mike’s greatest source of joy. His four children and six grandchildren brought him boundless pride and happiness. His sense of humor could brighten any room.

Mike demonstrated unwavering compassion, even during the most challenging periods of his own life. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Anita Torrez.

Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years, Elizabeth Torres; his beloved children: Dr. Michael Torres and his wife Valerie, Andrew Torres and his wife Abby, Corina Lovell and her husband Anthony, and Amanda Torres; his grandchildren whom he cherished and loved: Ariya Torres, Isla Torres, Rhett Torres, Colton Torres, Clara Torres, and Cayden Lovell; his devoted siblings: Linda Garivay, Jackie and her husband Robert Martinez, Mary Torrez, Domingo and his wife Viola Torrez, David Torrez, Richard and Cindy Torres and many nephews and nieces.

A celebration of the life of Mike Torres will be held at 2 PM CT on January 24, 2026, at the Harper Funeral Home Chapel.
