Nell Taylor Routh

Nell “Sissy” Routh, passed away on April 27, 2026, at the age of 70. Sissy was born on September 24, 1955, in Alice, Texas to parents, Clifford and Sue Taylor. Sissy grew up in Alice with her five siblings. She married Woody Routh on September 28, 1972, where they resided in Grape Creek, Texas with their two children, later making their home in Eden Texas. She was employed by Levi Strauss, RG Berry and Circle K.

She loved cooking, gardening and spending time with family. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.

Preceded in death by her husband, Woody Routh, her mother, Sue Taylor, father, Clifford Taylor and brother “Pumpkin” Taylor. She is survived by daughter, Lisa Routh, son, David Routh and wife Ruby Routh, children, Tara, Heather, Abigail, Jolie, Jonluke, Reana and Wesley, grandchildren, Tara Munoz, Heather Routh, Jacob Hester, Hanna Evans, Wesley Routh and Reana Routh. She is also survived by sisters, Debby Glass and husband Mike, Roxie Taylor, brother, Daniel Taylor and 5 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Eden Funeral Home, Friday May 1, 2026, 5 to 7 PM. Graveside services will be held at the Eden Cemetery, Saturday May 2, 2026, at 11 AM
