Laveta and Yolinda were born there and they moved to Dallas, TX where Dealva and Jemema were born. They moved to Fairfield where they worked at Pleasant Hills Children’s Home and then as Pastors of Bethel Assembly of God. In 1987 they moved to Sterling City where Frank and Jan were appointed pastors. They moved Ballinger for awhile, then to San Angelo and began attending church at Word of Life in the early 90’s. They also lived in the Sherwood community near Mertzon until Frank died in 2006, then Jan moved back to San Angelo where she remained. Jan loved the Lord. She spent much time reading and memorizing the Bible and praying for others. Her giving heart was evident in everything she did. She was gifted in music and played the piano proficiently. She was a music teacher and even taught a music class for the local elementary school for free one year when the program was unfunded in the 70’s. Most of her life she ministered in music at church either playing the organ, piano, or singing. She loved playing the piano and singing at the local senior centers, nursing homes, and wherever else she was invited to share. Her love for children led her to teach Sunday School and other children’s programs. She loved sharing whatever she had and she loved to start up conversations with anyone she met. The funeral service will be 10 am, December 22, at Word of Life Assembly of God in San Angelo, TX. Interment will follow at Crews Cemetery.
