Oma Mae Stublefield, 78, of San Angelo passed away on December 2, 2020 at home very peacefully into the arms of her Lord with her husband and dogs by her side. Oma was born on November 9, 1942 to Wiley and Lorene Brayshaw in Elkville, IL. As a child, she lived in Elkville and attended Elkville High School. After graduation, she went to St. Louis for three years. In 1961, she met the love of her life, Darrell Stublefield, while he was stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. They began dating by letter only and were married on April 20, 1962. Since Darrell was in the Air Force, they were stationed in many different places over the years including Japan, Germany and Washington, D.C. Oma was a homemaker who loved to cook, bake, and decorate cakes. Her cooking can be attested to by her church family at Community Hills Christian Church. She was a lifelong member of the Christian Church and held the positions of Treasurer, Deacon, and other capacities at Community Hills. Oma is preceded in death by her parents; in-laws Joe Bob and Bernice Stublefield; nieces, Teena and Diane Vaughn, brother-in-law, Frank Vaughn; and fur babies Cindy Lou and Jerri. Oma is survived by her husband of 58 years, Darrell; daughters, Michelle Good and husband Larry, and Vicki Stublefield King; grandchildren, Shana Good, Amanda Griffin and husband Aaron, Justin White and wife Anna, Edward White and wife Ashley, and Raymond White and wife Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Logan White, Troy White, Remi Ann White, and Ella Rose White; sisters, Ruth Ann Baumeyer and Barbara Vaughn; many nieces and nephews and their families; as well as her two dogs, Itsy and Buster who love and miss her very much. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 18, 2020 at Community Hills Christian Church with O’Neal Westbrook officiating. In lieu of flowers, please give your donation to the church or the American Heart Association. The family would like to give a special thanks to the ICU nurses at Shannon and the staff at Harper Funeral Home for all their help, God Bless to all.
