Patricia Ann "Patsy" Nafe

Patricia Ann “Patsy” Nafe, 81, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 4, 2025, in San Angelo surrounded by her loving family. Patricia, affectionately known as Patsy, was born March 9, 1944, in Argyle, Texas to Samuel B. and Carrie J. Grundy Howard. She grew up in Argyle and graduated from Denton High School. After high school, she attended Draughon’s Business College and attained her associate’s degree. Patsy met and later married the love of her life, Lowell Lavon Nafe, on June 7, 1963, and they shared 62 wonderful years together and raised three children. She was a very loving wife, mother and Mamaw who devoted her life to her family. She loved the Lord and was a strong woman of faith. She never let an opportunity go by to share Jesus and her love for God with those she came into contact with- doctors, nurses, waiters, family and friends. Patsy always had a smile on her face and was always very cheerful regardless of any life circumstances. She had a great sense of humor and loved to brighten someone’s day with a joke or an act of kindness. Her family and friends knew her as the person everyone wanted to be around because it always meant they would have a great time. Patsy’s legacy of love, laughter, kindness and cheerfulness will remain in our hearts, and we will dearly miss her! She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Tommy Howard and her granddaughter, Victoria Treadaway. She is survived by her husband Lowell L. Nafe, of San Angelo; her children, Cynthia McGowen and her husband Kelly, of San Angelo, Chris Nafe and his wife Gwyn, of Ore City, TX, and Pam Treadaway and her husband Scott, of Era, TX; her grandchildren, Brittany Jarvis and her husband Chaz, Adam McGowen and his wife Ashley, Ryann Ostrander and her husband Nick, Jenni Phelps and her husband Chad, Carrie Doan and her husband Heath, Nathan Treadaway and his wife Ana and Aaron Treadaway; her great grandchildren, Hunter Jarvis, Kooper Jarvis, Harper Jarvis, Keelan Treadaway, Kynlee Treadaway, Karson Treadaway, Kallie Kennemer, Connor Treadaway, Elizabeth Treadaway, Shayne Phelps, Kaedance Phelps, Sawyer Phelps, Easton Phelps, Charlotte Doan, Cohen Ostrander, and Kellan Ostrander. She is also survived by her sister, Clara Richards, of Denton, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and a host of friends. A memorial service for Patsy will be held on a later date to be announced. The family requests that any gifts considered be given to Camp Copass, 8200 E. McKinney Blvd., Denton, TX 76208.
