Patricia Ann Taylor, (94), was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, on June 4, 1931, to Frances Moulton (Robbins) Ladner and Elmer Maxwell Ladner. Moving at an early age to Massachusetts, she graduated from Cambridge High & Latin School with honors. After receiving a B.A. degree from Colby College, Waterville, Maine, with a major in English literature and minor in Music. Pat married Gaylord E. Taylor on June 27, 1953, in Cambridge, Mass.

The Taylors have lived in San Angelo since 1971, having first "discovered" San Angelo in the early 1960's. For 22 years, Pat was employed by the City of San Angelo, serving as a Public Information & Complaint Director for 8 years. She retired in June 1997 as executive secretary in the Office of the City Clerk. She worked as a substitute teacher in several places. Also, a legal secretary to G.H. Lampley and stayed with them until his retirement.

A former member of The Heights (formerly Park Heights Baptist Church), Pat participated in all areas of the music programs there, serving as the church organist for over 20 years, retiring in December 1999. She had also served several years as base chapel pianist/organist/ choir director at Air Force Bases in New York, Massachusetts, Turkey, Hawaii, and at Goodfellow AFB. At Park Heights Church, Pat also served as Church Clerk, leader of the Women on Mission group, and several years as a Sunday School teacher. She was currently a member and the accompanist of Belmore Baptist Church since 2016.

She also served for nine years as the treasurer of the Philharmonic Society of San Angelo and has been a patron of the San Angelo Symphony for many years.

Preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Gaylord E. “G.E." Taylor, Sr., an infant grandson, Jonathan A. Westbrook, mother and father-in-law, Lucy and Harry Aldrich.

She is survived by her 2 daughters: Rosemary Alice Graham of Olathe, KS, and Beth Anne Wilkes (husband Anthony) of London, UK; and 3 sons: G. E. "Gary" Taylor, Jr. (wife Barbara) of Pflugerville, TX; Steven Alexander Taylor and Andrew McKean Taylor, both of San Angelo. Eight surviving grandchildren include James Taylor Westbrook and Jeffrey A. Westbrook, Olathe, KS; Arthur L. "Jake" Graham IV, Pleasantville, MO; Brookes Marie Evans and Zachary A. Taylor of San Angelo, TX; Brian A. Ralston, Dallas, TX; Scott A. Ralston of Oklahoma City, OK; and Wesley A. Evans of Medford, OR, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Edith Louise Hamilton of Carrollton, TX and sister in law, Patricia Brown of Sugar Hill, NH; two nephews, Kevin Hamilton of Benton, IL, and Roger Hamilton of Dallas, TX; and numerous cousins; nieces, Polly Cobb of Fabius, NY, Deborah Goulet, Pamela McCarthy and Susan Capodicasa, all of Connecticut, and one nephew, Floyd B. Hunter, Jr., of Syracuse, NY.

A Visitation will be held Sunday, January 11th, 2026, at Harper Funeral Home from 2:00 – 4:00 PM

The Funeral Service will be 10am, Monday, January 12th, 2026, at Belmore Baptist with Pastor Matt Wood Officiating.
