Paul Duff Kelso was born on December 11, 1966 in Clifton, Texas. He passed away on October 13, 2022 in Abilene, Texas. He was the second son of Larry and Karen King Kelso. He was loved by all that knew him. Duff went to Menard schools as a young man and later completed his school years in Bronte, Texas after moving there with his family, graduating in 1986.
Duff was active in high school track and football and won awards in each sport.
All who knew Duff were touched by his care for others – his quiet, polite, thoughtful ways and his humility. Even with all these traits, he was also tough.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Kelso; his grandparents Lila and Walter King, and Paul and Rexine Kelso.
He is survived by his father and mom, Larry and Merle Kelso of Bronte; two brothers, Kirk Kelso of Austin, and Corby Kelso of Bronte. He is also survived by a son, Christopher Brown and his wife Desirae and their children Cason and Kiyah of San Angelo, as well as by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family has requested memorials to be made to the Betty Hardwick Center, 2616 S. Clack St., Abilene, Texas 79606, or to the charity of choice.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 9:30 A.M. at the Bronte Church of Christ. A memorial service will follow at 10:30 A.M.
