Qualietto "Quali" Quarles

May 21, 1963 — April 4, 2026

Ballinger

Quailetto "Quali" Quarles, 63, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, friendship, and love. He was a devoted father, proud veteran, respected martial artist, skilled outdoorsman, and a man whose generosity touched countless lives.

Born into the Quarles family and raised in Ballinger, Texas, Quali was known for his strong work ethic, kind spirit, and unwavering willingness to help others. He served his country honorably as a member of the National Guard, carrying that same sense of duty and commitment throughout his life.

Above all else, Quali loved his family. He was a devoted father to Tony, Tamarah, and Kaden, who were the center of his world and his greatest source of pride.

A dedicated teacher and practitioner of Tae Kwon Do, Quali earned the rank of Second-Degree Black Belt. He shared his knowledge, discipline, and passion for martial arts with students and friends alike, inspiring many through both instruction and example.

Quali was also an expert fisherman who loved spending time on the water and sharing his knowledge with others. He taught and mentored people of all ages in the art of fishing, helping many catch the biggest fish of their lives and creating memories that will last forever.

As a business owner, he delivered firewood to families and businesses throughout the area. Whether the weather was harsh or times were difficult, people knew they could count on "Q" to show up and get the job done.

Blessed with a mechanic’s touch, Quali could fix almost anything with a motor and generously shared his talent for making things run again with anyone in need. But he was more than a mechanic—he was an inventor and an artist in his craft. With creativity, ingenuity, and a natural ability to see solutions where others saw problems, Quali could design, modify, and build things in ways that reflected both his intelligence and imagination. He took great pride in creating, improving, and bringing ideas to life through his hands and his mechanical talent.

He will be remembered as a true friend—someone who valued meaningful conversations, genuine connections, and taking the time to listen. His deep faith in God guided his life and provided comfort and strength to those around him.

Quali was preceded in death by his parents, Frank James Quarles and Gracie Mae Clark Quarles; his grandmother, Flossie "Nannie" Clark; and his brothers, Quantico "Tico" Quarles and Queandro "Cha-Che" Quarles.

He is survived by his children, Tony, Tamarah, and Kaden; his sister, Quincarlita Dos Santos; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and cherished friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. Though he will be deeply missed, the lessons he taught, the lives he touched, and the love he shared will continue to live on in all who knew him.

A memorial service celebrating Quali's life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Jesus Christ Church in Ballinger, Texas.
