Randy Roeder

May 12, 1975 — February 27, 2024

Randy Roeder, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and friend, departed from this world on February 27, 2024, in San Angelo, TX, at the age of 48. He was born in San Angelo on May 12, 1975, to his loving parents, Donnie and Sarah Roeder, and shared his childhood with his brother Jason Roeder. Randy's journey began in Grape Creek, where he attended Junior High and Elementary before graduating from Water Valley High School. His pursuit of education led him to HVAC School in Sweetwater through TSTI, setting the foundation for a career he excelled in.

On July 12, 2003, Randy embraced a lifetime commitment with Rachel Boyd. Together, they were blessed with two remarkable daughters, Grace and Macy, who illuminated Randy's life with their boundless energy and accomplishments. Randy's devotion to his family was unwavering, evident in his active involvement in his daughters lives, whether it was coaching their softball teams since they were four or celebrating their achievements with uncontainable pride.

In his professional life, Randy consistently showed dedication and skill. After graduating from high school, he worked at Pepsi before spending a summer on a wheat harvest in the Midwest. Once he completed HVAC School, he joined Air Dynamics, where he began his career. Later, he spent over 20 years at Angelo State, excelling in HVAC maintenance.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Randy possessed a remarkable ability to uplift those around him. His genuine kindness and intuitive understanding of people's needs earned him numerous friendships wherever he went. An avid sports enthusiast, Randy's passion extended to all realms of athletics, with a special fondness for Longhorns Football. Randy also had a passion for hunting, he started hunting at just four years old, joining his dad, brother Jason, and cousin Tommy Smith in the woods. By the time he was twelve, he bagged a Boone and Crockett buck, showcasing his skill and passion for the sport.

Randy believed it was important for his family to be part of a church community. He was baptized in June 1975 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Eola, and confirmed in 1989 at Trinity Lutheran Church in San Angelo, where he still attended.

Randy's memory lives on in the hearts of his daughters, Grace and Macy; his parents, Donnie and Sarah Roeder; his brother, Jason Roeder, and wife Vanessa, along with their children, Freedom, Kaylee, Lueck, and Dusty; his special cousin, Tommy Smith, and wife BJ; his special aunt, Jeanie McKnight; his in-laws, Don and Linda Boyd; his brother-in-law, John, and Julianne Boyd, along with their children, Emme, and Annie.
