Ronald Ellis Olsen

Ronald Ellis Olsen, age 78, passed away on September 14, 2021, in San Angelo, Texas. Ronald was a gracious and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He was born on October 22, 1942, in Buckley, Washington. His childhood was mostly spent in San Diego, California and later in Tacoma, Washington where he would graduate from Woodrow Wilson High School. He moved on to serve our country with multiple declarative years in the Navy. Ronald then began his passionate journey with what he took a great deal of pride in, R. E. O. Painting. He gifted countless customers with his remarkable talents painting homes across communities for over 50 years. He meticulously strove for perfection to overly please his extensive clientele. His devotion and work ethic repeatedly left others applauding in awe. Ron was a true artist with unmatched craftsmanship. A man of not many words, but rather many masterpieces. His legacy will forever live in the paint his brush gave life to. He is survived by his spouse of 33 years, Karen Frances Olsen of San Angelo, TX, daughter Michele Denise Thomson of Portland, Oregon, stepson James Scott Powers of San Angelo, TX, and grandchildren Tevin and Karli Powers, Garrett and Taytum Powers, Kelsey Powers, Brock Thomson, and Brody Thomson; Great Grandchildren, Knyli and Khyli Powers; sister-in-law, Judy Oaks; and Brother-in-law, Mike Fuller and his wife Donna. Ronald was preceded in death by father-in-law Frank Fuller, along with stepchildren Lisa Whiting, Roy Whiting, and Alysa Powers. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., Monday September 20, 2021, at Harper Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at a later time.
