Sammy Lee Morgan

Sammy Lee Morgan, 76, of San Angelo, Texas went to be with his Lord on January 15, 2019. A memorial service will be held on January 19, 2019 at 10:00 AM at New Hope Bible Church, 6146 Appaloosa Trail, San Angelo, Texas 76901. Graveside Service to follow at 3:00 PM at the Junction City Cemetery. Sammy was born on March 22, 1942 to Sam and Lela Morgan in Junction, Texas. Sammy married the love of his life, Bobbie Jo Watson on October 26, 1958. Sammy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bobbie Jo Morgan; his sons Gary Morgan and wife Donna of Waxahachie, Texas; Jesse Morgan and wife Donna of Big Spring, Texas; one sister, Ruth Haines, of Burnet, Texas; his grandchildren, Sarah Garcia-Morgan and husband Miguel of Round Rock, Texas; Zachary Morgan and wife Chelsea of Houston, Texas; Jonathan Morgan of San Antonio, Texas; Colter Morgan and wife Caitlin of Midland, Texas; and Jessi Rose Morgan of Midland, Texas; and his great-granddaughter Arianna Garcia-Morgan of Round Rock, Texas. Sammy is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sammy is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Lela Morgan; and his brothers, Harold Morgan and L.B. Morgan. Sammy was a business owner and sold Snap-On tools for over 30 years before retiring in 2002. After retirement, Sammy enjoyed traveling with his wife. He had a passion for animals and en-joyed spending time with his dog, Rascal. Sammy was a charter member of New Hope Bible Church and devoted his time to serving in his church. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to New Hope Bible Church for their support and to Shannon Medical Center, West Texas Medical Associates, and Kindred at Home staff who so lovingly attended him.
