Scott Steven Trent

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scott Steven Trent, 53, on April 6, 2026, in San Angelo, Texas.

Scott was born on June 18, 1972, in Odessa, Texas, to Nyane Chalker and Billy Trent.

Scott was stubborn, strong-willed, and very much his own person. He was not always easy, but those who truly knew him also knew he had a big heart and would help anyone he could. Beneath his rough edges was someone who cared deeply and left a lasting impression on the people who knew him.

Earlier in life, Scott traveled across the country building cell phone towers and enjoyed collecting sports cards and memorabilia, often attending shows around the country.

Though life brought many challenges, Scott will be remembered for more than the hard times. He will be remembered for his toughness, his heart, and the memories he leaves behind with those who loved him.

Scott is survived by his mother, Nyane Chalker; his father, Billy Trent; his brothers, Michael Trent and Jason Trent; his sister, Amy Dunshee; his daughters, Sierra Trent and Carolina Trent; and his grandchildren, Emmett Cowgill and Frankie Trent.

He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
