Sharon Elizabeth Scaggs

Sharon Elizabeth Scaggs, 80, of San Angelo passed away on December 4, 2023.

She was born on October 23, 1943, in Fort Worth, Texas to Charles and Jewell Bennett Dominy. She graduated from Paschal High School in Fort Worth and attended Howard Payne University. She met her husband, Phil T. Scaggs, and they were married on December 2, 1960, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Sharon enjoyed interior decorating, flower design, playing bridge, and golfing with her husband and friends. They enjoyed camping in Big Bend and their favorite getaway place was Cloudcroft, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Charles F. Dominy, Jr.

She is survived by her two daughters, Liz (Jeanette) Scaggs of Dallas and Margaret (Steve) Lupton of San Angelo; three grandchildren, Ryan (Holly) Lupton of San Angelo, Georgia Lupton, and Philip Lupton, both of Austin; two great-grandchildren, Liv and Ivy Lupton; and sister, Beck Kirkpatrick of Fort Worth.

A memorial service will be held at 9:30 AM, Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Harper Funeral Home Chapel. She will be inurned at First United Methodist Church Columbarium during a private ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Meals for the Elderly or a charity of your choice.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Crest at Baptist Memorial Retirement Community.
