Sonya Raye Mccarthy

The Lord Jesus has called one of his favorites Home. Sonya Raye McCarthy placed her hand in the Lords today and has joined the chorus of Heaven. Sonya's light shined bright in every interaction. She was known for her smile, warmth, acceptance, and encouragement. She was also known and loved for her passion for Jesus and using the gift of song to bless all those that heard her. She always gave God the Glory and loved to sing no matter the setting. She is desperately missed by her husband David, three children Michael, Sheena, and Blake, and three children-in-love Apolynne, Megan, and Zac. Her seven wonderful grandbabies that meant the world to her. As well as countless friends, coworkers, and family across the country. The hole she left will never be filled, but the memories will be cherished forever. A visitation will be held at Harper Funeral Home on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 12:00PM-2:00PM with a memorial service to follow at Christian Church of San Angelo at 5:30PM.
