Thomas Foster Arthur, age 74, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2026, at his home in San Angelo, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Thomas was born on March 24, 1952, in Gallipolis, Ohio, to the late James and Georgia Arthur. He grew up in Ohio, graduating from Wellston High School, and later resided in Fresno, Ohio, and Phoenix, Arizona, before settling in San Angelo. A dedicated and hardworking provider, Thomas devoted 33 years of service to the Peabody Coal Company before his retirement. Throughout his life and career, Thomas was known for his warmth, dependability, and steadfast devotion to those he loved. His gentle presence touched countless lives, and his memory will be forever cherished. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Violet Arthur; his four children: Jami Van Gysel and her husband Heath, Aimee Wastell and her husband Daniel, Saul Arthur and his wife Cara, and Fawn Farhat and her husband Mike; and his stepchildren: Annette Shaw and her husband Jeff, Darrell Causey and his wife Edna, and Christine Palmer. He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren: Joselyn and Jayden Gross; Kaleb and Penelope Wastell; Alexander, Aristotle, Achilles, and Ajax Arthur; and Layla and Foxx Farhat. He also leaves behind his brother, Steven Arthur, as well as special extended family members and lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Georgia Arthur.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date at Elevate Ministeries in Jackson, Ohio.
