Vance Roderick Talley

Vance Roderick Talley passed from this world on August 17, 2025.

He was born on January 17, 1956, second son of Patricia Barth Talley and Edgar Rich Talley. He attended and graduated from San Angelo Central High School and attended Texas A&M University.

Vance worked in the family business, The Talley Press, alongside his father and older brother. He was a voracious reader favoring Sci-Fi novels. He preferred a solitary life in the house he built himself on the banks of Grape Creek.

Vance was predeceased by his parents Patricia and Edgar Talley and his niece, Bryn Nicole Talley. He is survived by his children David-Lex Talley and his wife Rachel of Lompoc, California, and Amelia Talley Littlefield and her husband Andrew of Lubbock, grandchildren Ava Jane Talley and Sean Talley of Lompoc, California, Vivian Lake of San Antonio, and Miles Littlefield of Lubbock, siblings Stephen Talley and wife Penny of Covington, Washington, Greg Talley and wife Susan of Liberty Hill, and Jeanette Talley Driskell and husband John of San Angelo, and numerous nieces and his nephew.

Special thanks go out to the caring staff of Hospice of San Angelo and Park Plaza Nursing & Rehabilitation.
