William “Bill” Detwiler Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend, passed away on May 18, 2025. Bill was born on July 29, 1958, to William Detwiler Sr. and Sandra Noblitt.
On July 15, 1995, in Amarillo, Texas, Bill married the love of his life, Pam Detwiler. Their nearly 30 years of marriage were filled with laughter, devotion, and countless memories. Together they raised one daughter, Megan Ashley Detwiler, who brought immense pride and joy to his life. Bill was a proud and loving grandfather to Oakley Detwiler (12) and Lucas Treadway (23 months), who lit up his world.
Bill was a graduate of Michigan Community College. Of all his roles, he most loved his time in Loss Prevention at Lowe’s and Kmart.
Bill had a passion for old Rock & Roll, vintage cars, and collecting guns. His home was filled with music, stories, and laughter. His quick sarcasm, heartfelt prayers for his Facebook friends, and genuine interest in others made him unforgettable. He was a true people person and a storyteller who could keep a room entertained for hours.
Bill adored his pets, especially his Mini Australian Shepherds, Rowdy and Angel. He never forgot his all-time favorite companion, Goliath “Bubba,” a loyal German Shepherd mix. He was preceded in death by his father, William Detwiler Sr.; his sister, Candy Gandy.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of nearly 30 years, Pam Detwiler of San Angelo, TX; his daughter, Megan Ashley Detwiler; his grandchildren, Oakley Detwiler and Lucas Treadway; his mother, Sandra Noblitt; his sister, Melissa Murphree and her husband, David; nephews Frances and Daniel Murphree, and Braxton Gandy; his uncle, Mark Noblitt; many cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
