William Ray “Bill” Bolton, 86, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 3, 2021, in Abilene, Texas. Bill was born December 16, 1934, in Antelope, Texas to Walter and Ruth Selby Bolton. He grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas and during High School enlisted in the United States Air Force. Bill served his country honorably for 23 years and retired in 1978. Bill married the love of his life, Katie Lou Thomason on April 12, 1957, and they shared almost 61 beautiful years together before she preceded him in death. In 1979, when Bill and Katie returned to San Angelo, he went to work for the City of San Angelo and remained there until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and motorcycles. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who devoted his life to his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him! Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Katie, his brother Ernie Bolton and his granddaughter, Regina Gilley. He is survived by his daughters, Robbin Gray, Ronnie Bolton, and Linda Gilley, all of San Angelo; his grandchildren, Chris Gilley and Kevin Gray; his brothers, Rollans Bolton and his wife Barbara and Larry Bolton and his wife Kathy, all of Wichita Falls, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
